Springboard celebrates

Staff and tenants at Staples House, a supported housing scheme in Beckton, East London are celebrating after being awarded 'Tenant care scheme of the year award' in this years Housing Excellence Awards.


Staples House, which is owned by Springboard Housing Association, part of the Genesis Housing Group, beat off fierce competition from Sheffield City Council, Twin Valley Homes and Rochdale Boroughwide Housing to win the prestigious award.


The award judges particularly praised Staples House for its commitment to putting tenants at the forefront of all their work.


Mark Gayfer, Managing Director of Springboard said; "We are thrilled to have won this award, it is great recognition for all the hard work put in at Staples House not only by staff but our tenants too."

Mary Daniels, a tenant at Staples House said; "It is a great feeling to know that Staples House have won this award. The staff work hard and are good listeners, patient, understanding, polite and they treat everybody equally."

The Housing Excellence Awards were established in 2004 by the housing industry magazines Northern Housing, Southern Housing and Midlands Housing, part of the Excel Publishing Company. The award ceremony took place at the Mere Golf and Country Club in Cheshire.
