Genesis Housing Group receives positive inspection result

Thursday, March 29, 2007

Springboard Housing Association, part of the Genesis Housing Group has received a two star rating with promising prospects for improvement, from Audit Commission inspectors.

Anu Vedi, Genesis Chief Executive said; "We are delighted with this excellent result which recognises the high quality of the services Springboard provides, particularly in supported housing. The result is particularly impressive given that less than two years ago Springboard came out of Housing Corporation supervision. It is a clear demonstration of the success of Springboard's merger with Genesis Housing Group.

However, we are not complacent and acknowledge the recommendations highlighted by the inspectors. We will make sure that their key recommendations are addressed so that our customers continue to receive the best possible services."

Trevor Childs, Chair of Springboard Customer Association said; "Customers are very pleased with the way our views are taken seriously by Springboard staff and the influence we have had on improvements to service levels over the last few years."

Mark Gayfer, Managing Director of Springboard said; "Springboard has gone through some significant changes in recent years. Working closely with our Customer Association we have improved the homes we own and the services we provide. This outcome gives us confidence that we are on track to meet our aim of putting customers first. However we must now move on to further improve our services to customers. I would particularly like to thank the customer volunteers of the Springboard Customer Association and our staff for all their hard work."
