New gas safety register

The CORGI gas register transfered to the Gas Safe Register on 1 April 2009. This did not change our legal gas safety duties as a landlord.

The CORGI statutory registration scheme ran for 17 years and is very familiar to everyone. We have always encouraged customers to ask engineers for their CORGI registration ID before allowing them into their home.

We are raising awareness of the new system to avoid confusion and help engineers gain access to our properties without difficulty.

For more information about the registration scheme, visit the Gas Safe Register website.

Repairs to your home

As part of your tenancy we will carry out most of the repairs to the main structure of your home, and the water and heating installations where we have a legal duty to do so.

How to report a repair

You can find out more about who is responsible for a repair, or report a repair online.

Our service

We aim to provide a quality service for all our customers, and to help us monitor how well we are doing, we carry out regular satisfaction surveys. The surveys are carried out by customers who are employed as 'Community Agents'. Your views are important to us, so if one of our Community Agents contacts you then please do give them your feedback.

Springboard also has a longstanding commitment to its customers to meet the Decent Homes Standard ahead of the 2010 deadline set by the Government. We are doing this through our Stock Investment Programme.

Improvements and alterations

You also have a right to improve or alter your home, but any work must be done to a professional standard. It is important that you do not start any work until you have obtained our written consent.

We will not refuse a reasonable request but we may require you to carry out the work in a particular way, or ask you to get consent from your local authority before beginning the work. This may include for example building regulations, planning, and conservation consent. In every case, staff in our Property Services team will be pleased to advise you.
