Special needs


The type of housing we provide to adults with special needs (i.e. learning disabilities and mental health), ranges from very independent with visiting staff known as Floating Support, to schemes that are fully staffed 24 hours a day. We provide accommodation in the following areas:

  • London Boroughs of Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest
  • Broxbourne Borough Council, East Hertfordshire District Council and North Hertfordshire District Council
  • Harlow District Council
  • Tendring District Council
  • Uttlesford District Council
  • Epping Forest District Council
  • Chelmsford Borough Council
  • Colchester Borough Council
  • Southend Borough Council


Services provided

Depending on the type of housing allocated and our Supporting People contracts, our service provision will vary from scheme to scheme. However, our services will provide:

  • Housing management / maintaining tenancies
  • Maintenance work that is our responsibility
  • Budgeting, finances and benefits
  • Advice and support to access local amenities / services
  • Dedicated staff teams

Additionally, some schemes may provide:

  • Meals services
  • Gardening
  • Cleaning of communal areas
  • Night cover
  • Laundry facilities


Customer consultation

We consult our customers on our practices, policies and working documents, on a range of issues, including:

  • How your needs are assessed
  • How your support needs are met
  • How we deal with health and safety matters
  • How we protect vulnerable people from potential abuse
  • How we promote diversity
  • How we deal with complaints
