Springboard offers a variety of supported housing services for
older people that are designed to meet various needs.
These services range from housing with very little support and low
staffing levels, to high levels of support with experienced teams
of staff.
Here are some examples of the housing and services we can
provide:
Housing with emergency call centre
responses
This is also known as Category 1
accommodation.
- these properties have the added protection of being connected
directly to our emergency call centre
- in the event of an emergency, the call centre can give you
verbal assistance and contact the emergency services, family and/or
friends on your behalf
- our call centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year
Housing with emergency call centre responses and staff
are on site approximately four hours per day
This is also known as Category 2 or
sheltered accommodation.
This can also be known as frail elderly, extra care, very
sheltered or Category 2.5
accommodation.
- these schemes offer housing plus, the benefits of a midday meal
cooked on-site daily
- most schemes also offer a shopping service for breakfast and
tea, the cost of which is included in the service charge
- many of these schemes are staffed 24 hours a day with nights
covered by staff that sleep in the scheme
- some schemes have a period between 4-8 pm in which a member of
staff is on call
