Maintaining our properties

As part of your tenancy we will carry out most of the repairs to the main structure of your home and the installations for water and heating where we have a legal duty to do so. To find out more about who is responsible for the repair, or to report a repair online please click here.

We aim to provide a quality service for all our customers and to help us monitor how well we are doing, we carry out regular satisfaction surveys. The surveys are carried out by customers who are employed as 'Community Agents'. Your views are important to us, so if one of our Community Agents contacts you then please do give them your feedback.

Springboard also has a longstanding commitment to its customers to meet the Decent Homes Standard ahead of the 2010 deadline set by the Government. We are doing this through our Stock Investment Programme. If you would like more information about what to expect when we carry out major repairs to your home the please

Improvements and alterations

You also have a right to improve or alter your home but any work must be done to a professional standard. It is important that you do not start any work until you have obtained our written consent.

We will not refuse a reasonable request but we may require you to carry out the work in a particular way, or ask you to get consent from your local authority before beginning the work. This may include for example building regulations, planning, and conservation consent. In every case, staff in our Property Services team will be pleased to advise you. You can contact them on 020 8475 0033.
