The first Springboard Customer Association Committee came into
being in 1995 with the election of 15 members representing our
customers. The SCA celebrates its 15th birthday this year and will
also be electing new members.
Every year, representatives must try to attend six committee
meetings and any relevant away days, and hold eight local meetings
in various regions. The representatives act as a bridge between
Springboard and its customers and are responsible for representing
the views of customers to staff at the highest level.
What's in it for me?
If you would like to become involved, there are many benefits
to being a member. For example:
- prizes - for most activities we offer a £10 gift voucher for
taking part, maybe more at times
- training
- meeting new people and developing friendships
- developing confidence and communication skills
- work experience through volunteering
- involvement in your local community
- opportunity to attend different events and visit other areas
where Springboard has homes
- opportunity to tell us what you think - and what we can do to
improve!
We want you to get involved!
Representatives hold local customer association meetings in each
local area every month (with the exception of August and
December).
It's a chance for customers to meet their representatives and
discuss any Springboard issues that concern them - and share any
good news stories, too. It's also a chance for us to consult with
residents about important issues that affect them.
