Support Line is the name for Springboard's emergency call
centre.
The Support Line service is available to our own customers as well
as to people living in the community. It has been up and running
since 1992 and we currently provide a service to properties in East
London, Essex and Hertfordshire.
If you live in our accommodation for older people, the call system
unit in your flat will connect you to the Support Line service. If
you live in any of our other properties, or in the community, as
long as you have a telephone socket then you can rent a
Life line telephone, which will connect you to our
call centre.
How the service works
The staff at our call centre have access to information that you
supply us with such as your next of kin, your doctor etc. When you
make an emergency call this information appears on a screen in
front of our staff and they will be able to speak to you to find
out what the problem is. If you need help they can contact the
emergency services, your doctor and your next of kin. If you call
us by mistake there is no need to worry, simply explain that to our
staff.
The Life line telephone and pendant system for customers living in
their own accommodation is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year.
Through the Support Line service we pride ourselves on providing a
service that promotes:
- Independence - Allowing the customer to live
where they want, the way they want.
- Security - to protect both the people and
property with the very best in technology.
- Reassurance - To know that help is always at
hand should a problem occur.
- Protection - At the press of a button, you
speak to our central control staff.
